Canberra Day saw the launch of the preview of the upcoming Centenary of Canberra in 2013 program.  I was joined by Prime Minister Julia Gillard who stated her government’s long term commitment to Canberra. A brunch with 200 prominent Canberrans followed to celebrate our 99th Birthday at Old Parliament House.  The Canberra Centenary will provide a once in a hundred year opportunity to engage with all Australians about the importance of our national capital, which is of course our home too.
