Angie has worked for the Labor Movement since the first day of her employment back in 1987, where she joined the Trades and Labor Council (ACT) as a junior. What was supposed to be a three day temp job led to eight years of employment. Angie was then offered a position with the Construction Forestry Mining and Energy Union as the Finance Manager and Personal Assistant to the Secretary of the ACT Branch. Her role at the CFMEU evolved over the years ranging from Office Manager to Publicity Officer. Angie has been a longtime member of the ALP (Canberra South Sub-branch) holding positions of Vice President (currently) and various other Committees. Angie's opportunity to come and work for Katy arose out of assisting on the successful Gallagher Campaign which eventually swept Katy into the seat of Molonglo.
Angie started her employment with Katy in February of 2002 originally holding the position of Office Manager. She has now progressed to the position of Media Adviser and is also assisting Katy in her portfolio responsibilities as Minister for Women.
